project kit: hemming & mending

Do you already have some basic sewing skills, but want to learn more about mending existing garments, or finishing off your projects with beautiful hems? Then this is the project kit for you! 

This kit includes everything you need to practice the the most popular and useful hemming and mending techniques, including replacing buttons and darning knit fabric. 

You'll also get some essential sewing tools that will serve you well, long after you graduate to more complicated projects!

You'll need a sewing machine for some of the techniques, plus an iron and ironing surface, but everything else is included in the kit. Check out the contents below:

- spool of all-purpose thread

- needle threader

- darning egg

- tailor's chalk

- two buttons

- stitch witchery

- fusible interfacing samples

- sweater knit sample to practice darning

- sample pant legs to practice hemming

- written instructions for creating each sample and describing each technique
